Sailfish are being caught with the first cold fronts
Sailfishing off Miami Beach can be spectacular. Sailfish have begun showing up off the coast of Miami Beach. The cold fronts that cool off our South Florida weather have begun to pass through this year. This is a signal to the sailfish that they must start there migration from the deep ocean water up north. Although it can get rather cold by South Florida standards the fishing for Sailfish really heats up. Luckily for us the migration pattern is right off our coast. We catch these sailfish just three miles off the beach in 100 to 300 feet of water. The most productive method it the use of SFE Fishing Kites and live baits.
For those that would like to catch edible fish the Mahi are continuing to show up and provide good action. November has been a great month the last couple of years for these great game Fish.
