About our Miami Fishing Charters
The Top Gun specializes in kite fishing, trolling, live baiting, and wreck fishing the waters of Miami, Miami Beach, and Key Biscayne. Fishing in Miami, FL is very seasonal as most of our pelagic species are “highly migratory”. Be sure to get in touch with Capt. Nel to find out what’s biting now and what to expect on your trip. Full day fishing trips allow the Top Gun to travel farther to less pressured areas, while half-day trips keep us in proximity to the edge of the gulf stream. If you’re planning to fish in Miami, FL for the first time, be sure to give us a call to learn more about the types of fish we can target based on the season.
Half-Day Charters:
Our 5 hour half-day charters allow us to fish for varied species, and allow us to fish from North Miami Beach to the Gateway of the Keys: Fowey Rocks, Brewster and Star Reef. Typical half-day charters run from 7am-12pm or 1pm-6pm*

Full-Day Charters:
Our 8 to 10 hour full-day charters allow us to travel farther and fish longer. On this full-day charter we can venture out up to 20 miles into the Florida Straits or we can visit some great fishing spots known to produce plentiful and large fish; such as Triumph, Ajax and Pacific Reefs.

Twilight Tuna Trip:
These trips are offered from Late April- June. Fish the twilight hours for this coveted species, and enjoy Sashimi on the dock after your catch! Typical Twilight Trips run from 3:30pm-8:30pm*

Swordfishing Charters:
Truly Big Game fishing! Enjoy 8 hours of night or day fishing for the coveted Swordfish, the Gladiator of the Seas. Monster fish, such as large Mako and Hammerhead Sharks are sometimes caught and released.

Charters to the Bahamas and Custom Charters
The Captain and Crew of the Top Gun are ready to take you on your next Bahamas Adventure or custom trip. Please call to inquire.
All Charters can accommodate up to 6 passengers maximum.
All Charters include
Fishing Licenses, Tackle, Dead Bait, and Ice. We catch our live bait on the way out. If you would like to have your live bait on the boat, we can arrange for various bait boats to provide it for an additional fee.
Tips for the First Mate(s) are not included. A 20 percent tip will be added to your bill. You may add more if you so desire. We can arrange for more than one First Mate if desired.

We will need your requested date, and once agreed upon, a $300 deposit to hold your date. Charters must be cancelled within 7 days for a refund of deposit. Corporate charters and multiple boat charters must be paid in full 7 days before the date and there is no refund for cancellations.
